“This entire lake has 6 foot max depth, and I had heard of people catching 6+ pounders. It was pretty windy and I was in a kayak and honestly was struggling a bit. Caught one smaller 1.5 pounders on a wacky near some felled trees on the shoreline, but otherwise everything else was just flat hydrilla and Lilly pads in some areas by shoreline. I was fishing that wacky along a Lilly edge and kept seeing some busts on top of the flat, so I decided to use the patroller to cover some of that water and first cast this fish just casually sucked it down. It gave me a couple good head shakes otherwise she did not really fight me.”
