Wesley Faulkner Story Catch

“The season had been dry for me, maybe a little bass and a couple bluegill since I started fishing again earlier in the year. I love Busch Wildlife Conservation Area more than any place on earth, and so I decided to go there just to see the lakes again and took a short hike to my favorite one; lake #32. There are many lakes in the reserve, but this one is special because it's a favorite secret among my brother and I. That day we were both on the losing side of the angling experience. However, just as the sun dropped below the trees, I cast a long cast to the hydrilla patch and no sooner than it landed, I was almost pulled into the water. Seeing the blow-up, my brother knew and grabbed the net for me to haul in my first trophy bass with. After a brief photo shoot, she was released healthy, albeit, a little inconvenienced.”
