Customer Catch Story: Noah Maynard

“This was at our Backlake and nobody has been fishing there in years and I found an amazing spot to fish on the shore and I planned to take my friend there the next day for his first time fishing. My grandfather had told me stories about people catching some pretty good size bass there but nothing like the one I caught. So it was a somewhat rainy day and me and my friend hiked into the spot and we were both eager to catch some fish and have some fun! I was just going on like I’d normally do, teaching a new angler how to fish, you know show them how to cast show them some knots and where to cast how to use different lure's etc- so then when I was done showing him how to do all of that and getting him a fish I finally found a great spot out on a log about 4ft into the water and on my 3 cast I was just reeling in my brand new lure and… BANG!! HUGE splash and ZZZZZzzzzzmmmmm!! My drag was humming like crazy I yelled over to my friend to come and lend a hand as he’s untangling his line and said “ dude!! This is a Bigggg one I might need some help please”. So he’s over there not paying attention and still fiddling with his line as I’m fighting with this guy and then finally he comes over and I was about to just in and grab him but, my buddy was able to hold the pole while I lay on the log and grab him out of there. It was awesome this was the biggest bass I’ve ever seen and caught but my buddy had no idea cause he didn’t know the size of a normal one so he said “ nice that’s a nice one” as I’m freaking out weighing it and measuring it saying that this is almost a record fish ;)) and then we left and I showed my whole family cause he got cold. Sorry it’s so long by the way I’m a 15 year old male from PA”
