10 Day Bass Fishing Outlook:
SE and Eastern Seaboard – Warm temps creating EPIC/GOOD bass feeding conditions right now to squeeze in some bass fishing before the next cold front hits this weekend. A slight midweek warming trend will create a little window late to mid next week before another cold front hits next weekend.
South Central to Upper Midwest – Warming this weekend and early week followed by another cold front late next week is creating a few GOOD and even EPIC feeding conditions days mid to late next week. A good excuse to take a “personal bass fishing” day off before all the relatives drive you nuts on Thanksgiving.
West Coasters - Get as much of your Thanksgiving prep done now, because a warming pattern mid to late next week will create some GOOD bass fishing conditions for you to bass fish next weekend.
Rocky Mountain and Great Plains – If you want to squeeze some bass fishing in before ice sets in, the next few days and mid next week are your best bets.
BassForecast Rating (BFR):
Bass Season Forecast:
A winter pattern is starting to creep down through the Rockies and Great Plains. Across the rest of the nation the seasonal patterns are progressing from Early Fall, Fall or Late Fall. Be sure to use the BassForecast mobile app to get your location specific seasonal pattern of baits, presentation speeds, and bass holding locations.
Top 5 Baits to have on hand 11/8 to 11/18 based on the weather forecast and seasonal pattern intel:
Spinnerbait – Adjust the weight and blade size to the water depth and suggested presentation speed to cover water. If “SLOW” presentation suggested, use larger Colorado style blades and a light to medium weight head. If “FAST” suggested, use smaller willow leaf blade(s) and a heavier head.
Jig – A great bait to use when fish are hugging closer to bottom or in sparse weeds. Slow roll and bounce off cover and rocks, especially during tough conditions.
Buzzbait – Whenever the water temp is above 50 degrees, you see any bait moving and the wind is blowing, aggressive bass will blow up on a buzzbait.
Lipless Crankbait – Remember, after the lake turns over in the fall, bass will be moving and chasing. A lipless crankbait is a great way to locate them.
Suspending Jerkbait - Cover lots of water in and around the backs of creeks, steep banks and points with a jerk, jerk pause cadence.
