Patrick Walsh Story Catch

“I’ve been ice fishing all winter and inbetween the seasons now is dreadful, I’ve been checking the local park every few days and checking bass forecast looking for a change, 2 days prior to this catch I visited and there was still ice, this day I came back after a couple warm nights and some rain and to my surprise there was no ice. So I only brought one rod and one jerk bait ( my go to this time of year because of how slow you can fish it and keep it right in their faces) bass forecast also recommended a jerkbait so I felt even more confident going. They also recommended migration routes near spawning areas. So I came to an area on the lake where the creek bed meets a damn and small waterfall, water is deeper and moving here. I casted my perch color jerkbait and after a couple minutes of very slow twitching my lure I felt a gummy pressure on my line. I’ve never caught a fish this big in this pond and been fishing here my whole life. Needless to say I was very pleased.”
