“I tied on a classic Arbogast Jitterbug and began working it slowly across the surface. The lure’s steady plop-plop-plop echoed across the pond as it pushed a small wake on the surface. Halfway back to shore, the water behind the bait erupted. A massive largemouth bass exploded through the surface, engulfing the Jitterbug in a violent strike that sent water flying in every direction. When the scale settled at 6 pounds, 2 ounces, the excitement was hard to contain.”
