Customer Catch Story: Dennis Shiley
“I could hardly believe this when she jumped! What a beautiful fish and great battle to get her in the net! I had been catching the typical 2-to-3-pound fish on a Carolina rigged craw, Jig and Spoon offshore fishing for post spawn bass. I typically like to stay offshore so this day was nothing different, until this bite. I was fishing the ABA AFT Division 29 tournament out of Goose Pond on May 16, 2026. after a typical practice day on Friday the 14th I was just looking forward to going through a couple packs of baits and catching the average 10 to 15 keepers and maybe get lucky with a couple 4 pounders. I never could get to the 4 pounders but did manage this monster on the outside edge of a school of 2 pounders. In a couple weeks the big fish are really going to be firing offshore, what I live for and honestly what solunar tables from bass forecast help me to target in the summer. Looking forward to a smash fest coming up. This 8.66-pound beauty, went for a swim after weighing in and secured big bass of the tournament and anchored my 20.47-pound bag for the win. besting second place by only .05 pounds and third place by .20 pounds!”
