Bass Fishing 10 Day Outlook - October 31, 2024

October 31, 2024 Bass Fishing Update 🎣

Now on to the Bass Fishing Outlook of the week.

10 Day Bass Fishing Outlook:

If you can fish every weekend, more power to you. For the rest of us, in the EPIC decision battle of "Should I fish this weekend or next?" the hands down winner over the next 10 days is THIS WEEKEND.

Over the next 10 days, warm weather moves from West to East and we have a new moon coming November 1 all of which is creating more GOOD & EPIC feeding day conditions than normal this time of year. ESPECIALLY if you can juggle your schedule to hit the water just before or when the front comes through.

Here’s how “Honey Do Man” butters up his wife when he gets an EPIC day mobile notification.

BassForecast Rating (BFR):

Stable warming conditions followed by a new moon is going to create far more than normal EPIC/GOOD bass feeding conditions days over the next 10 days. So, if you don’t have Forward Facing Sonar and the ability to target deeper winter bass, use the BassForecast PRO mobile app 10 day BFR ratings to get er done before the next cold front knocks em deep.

Bass Season Forecast:

Across most of the nation, the seasonal pattern will be Early Fall, Fall or Late Fall. In far northern areas, you will even see some winter patterns creeping in. Be sure to use the BassForecast mobile app to get your location specific seasonal pattern of baits, presentation speeds, and bass holding locations.

Two pieces of bass science advice:

1) Fish will be roaming more than usual. So, fish faster and cover more water than you would in a spring or summer pattern.

2) Here are (4) must have baits every angler should have during this warming 10 days:

  1. Spinnerbait – Great for covering lots of water fast.Spinnerbait – Choose blade size and weight based on water depth

  2. Ned rig – Great during “SLOW or FAIR” fish activity days.BassForecast - Ned Rig

  3. Flutter Spoon – Great for lakes that have shad. Find the shad and let the flutter spoon free fall.

  4. Top Water and or Frog – The shallow and or topwater bite can be lights out this time of year. If you find it, be ready because it’s a blast.

Bass Wind Forecast:

This map clearly shows how the BassForecast ratings (BFR’s) are tied to the passage of fronts. Notice how the wind speed warnings mirror and outline the changes in the BFR’s from EPIC to SLOW. Pretty cool technology. Use it to either time your outings or if you can’t, use the Adapted Patterns™ feature to figure out a fish catching pattern no matter what the BFR.
