Northwest:
Expect seasonable summer heat—with daily highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s and increasing humidity as the week progresses. Bass are now either in “Post Spawn” or “Summer” patterns. Focus on deeper structure (15–25 ft) during midday, and switch to shallow topwater (poppers, frogs) in early morning and evening. Afternoon thunderstorms will be increasingly common—watch radar.

Southwest:
Lake temps are climbing into ideal summer range, and a few isolated storms may pop up across high terrain later in the week. Expect bass to be in either a “Summer” or “Dog Days” Pattern —holding on deep humps, points, and vegetation edges. Early mornings are optimal for topwater; mid-day is prime time for Carolina-rigged creature baits or deep crankbaits.

Midwest:
A heat ridge is building, bringing a surge of dangerous heat—including humid air along the I-95 corridor—starting Sunday. Afternoon storms are likely Friday–Saturday. Expect bass transitioning from “Post Spawn” to “Summer” patterns with seasonal summer bite strength. Use heavy-cover baits like jig/chatterbait combos in stained, swollen waters. Mornings and evenings could still provide topwater action.

Southeast:
High humidity persists amid scattered afternoon thunderstorms nearly daily. Bass are firmly in Summer patterns, heavily feeding in stained, warm water. Target deeper structure behind vegetation with Carolina rigs and creature baits. Evenings remain prime for topwaters (buzzbaits, poppers). Your Adapted Patterns® feature can help dial in the right lure based on daily conditions.

Northeast:
A strong heat ridge will produce highs in the 90s and heat indices into triple digits this weekend. Depending on your location, expect bass to move from “Spawn” to “Post Spawn” or “Post Spawn” to “Summer” patterns. With widespread humid heat and late-week storms drifting in, mornings and dusks are your window. Focus on deeper structure (12–20 ft), using deep crankbaits, jigs, and drop-shot rigs. Monitor local thunderstorm alerts to avoid getting caught on the water.

Bass Forecast Tip:
Over 1.5 million+ Bass Forecast anglers have used these tips to boost catch rates during the cooler season.
1. DO NOT rely on “what worked yesterday”. It's not a solid strategy. The trickiest part of figuring out the bite in bass fishing is that patterns can change daily based on the weather, thus changing the feeding behavior of bass. Use the Bass Forecast app feature Adapted Patterns® to help adapt your strategy in real time. Bass Forecast Adapted Patterns® has predicted the winning pattern in 86% of top flight bass fishing tournaments 7 to 10 days before the tournament began.
2. Select best odds days up to 10 days in advance by getting Bass Forecast PRO inside the app. While there's no ‘guarantee’ of success on any single outing, double blind research has shown that season long average catch rates during GOOD/EPIC rated days are 68% to 305% higher than the average. Fisheries biologist research has also proven that bigger bass are caught during GOOD/EPIC days due to proactive vs reactive feeding behavior.
3. NO MATTER WHEN YOU GO, the BFR combined with the Seasonal Pattern (see map below) guides the 3 key elements of a successful bass catching pattern: 1. Baits to use. 2. Best bet fish feeding locations. 3. Best bet presentation speed.
Tight lines and happy fishing!
