Customer Catch Story: Ryan Beebe
“me and my dad went fishing just like always, we were fishing the banks. We had caught a couple already a little over a pound. Dad was fishing his top water torpedo along the sides of a massive amount of lily pads. i had been fishing my beetle spin, and a top water frog but wasn't getting any action. i seen a massive swirl that moved the lily pads a bunch, so i picked up my plastic creature watermelon red brush hog, and flipped it right on you on top of weeds and lily pads. I wasn't even reeling just sort of dragging it lightly on top of pads and then she took it like she was at war, i knew it was something big when i set the hook. when i got her in i truly thought she was pushing 7lb or 8lb because of how massive she looked but she was very long. i never thought to measure her length but she weighed 5.81lbs, i was beyond ecstatic. i catch 4lbers and close to 5lbers regularly but had never caught over 5.1 lber. the biggest fish id ever caught was a 12.03 lb striped bass at the cane river spillway about three weeks earlier. but never a largemouth that size. it was a great day, her mouth was so large i took a pic with the other two fish inside her mouth.”
